An Author's Perspective

Bush's War

By Ken Brosky
Thursday, Apr 10 2008, 12:39 PM

Patriotism is not blindly following leaders. Patriotism means finding the truth and always questioning, no matter what. What's happening in Iraq belongs to the Bush administration. No presidential administration will ever come close to this one, but that won't stop neoconservative historians from whitewashing history. I strongly encourage you to watch Bush's War on Frontline. Know the truth behind this war, and understand that the Bush administration will not fix this problem. The Bush administration will pass this trillion-dollar quagmire onto the next president, and there will be no easy solution.

Try to count how many laws were broken. Count how many lies were told, how little planning went into the post-invasion, how little intelligence there was. Learn from this.

Ken, Ken, Ken.  Webster dictionary defines patriot as a person who loves, supports and defends one's own country.  Or in other words my country right or wrong.  The Marxist dictionary defines patriotism as devotion to one's cause or political party.  Your twisted definition comes out of some word game which makes no sence.  Ken, words mean things.  Not what you want them to mean or change as you go along. When are we going to see the documentary "Mr. Roosevelt's war"  And when are those troops coming home?

Iron Man, "words" do not mean "things." I suggest you educate yourself in cognitive linguistics to better understand exactly what a "word" is and how it is "defined." Iron Man won't watch "Bush's War" because he's unwilling to accept reality. Like other modern conservatives, Iron Man attacks FDR's role in World War II without truly explaining "why." How could he? How could Iron Man truthfully compare the president who declared war on the *** to a president who invaded a country that posed no threat to anyone, much less the United States? Bush, the president who declared war on a "word" (terrorism), and spent nearly a trillion dollars, borrowed, that we will eventually have to pay back with interest?

Ken,  Words do not mean thinks. As a writer I find that facinating.  And Why do you blame everything on Bush?  I guess you know so much which is not so. And by the war a president can't declare war. Congress does. It is a few "words" in the constitution.

Funny how you know what I am up to Ken.  I may not watch you moonbat TV show for many reasons. Ken,  were you not told at one time not to believe everything you see on TV.  Or is critical thinking not part of your makeup.  Just questioning and tring to find out the truth.

"Moonbat TV show." Of course, anything that dares suggest the Bush administration isn't complete honest must be a part of the liberal media bias or, worse, "Moonbat." For a writer who seems to believe all words have specific meanings, it's ironic that Iron Man chooses one entirely CREATED by conservatives to describe liberals.

"Ken, Words do mean thinks" says Iron Man. For a writer, he seems to have an awful difficulty with simple spelling and grammar. Perhaps he's just frustrated. It's difficult for a conservative in this day and age to stand behind such a president. That would explain the numerous typing errors ...

Ken,

Frustration?  That is the best you can do.  Watch your TV show and have a great day. Unless Bush turns off public television.  Keep your tin foil hat adjusted correctly.

Hmmmm ... regardless, I'll keep this posted a few more days.

What's interesting here is Iron Man seems to be confusing "country" with "leader."  From his own words, Iron Man asserts "Webster dictionary defines patriot as a person who loves, supports and defends one's own country," yet he seems to be implying that anyone who does not support President Bush's decision to send our troops into harm's way is not a patriot.  Iron Man, I'm proud that I don't blindly follow a leader who's exposed himself to be thoroughly inept and prone to cronyism at every turn.

Mrzippy I see your point.  Kind of like blindly following Jim Doyle as he drives every business from Wisconsin. He is person I'm proud that I don't blindly follow a leader who's exposed himself to be thoroughly inept and prone to cronyism at every turn.

Jim Doyle has driven every business from Wisconsin?

That's news to me!  As for Doyle being prone to cronyism and thoroughly inept, one needs only look at President Bush for perhaps the best example of that kind of "leader."

Dude,  if you look I wrote "drives" as in happening currently not "driven" as in the past.

And for an example of a leader prone to cronyism and thoroughly inept, one needs only look at former President Clinton for perhaps the best example of that kind of "leader."
