If it’s courts or fields you’re looking for,
You’ve no need to look anymore!
I’ve got it all and more, no doubt…
Your kids can “play” while you work out!

Welcome back! Did you have a nice break?
I sure did, now let’s cut to the chase…
You have a 4th park to see,
And this one sure is tiny.
Lots of work’s been done in my 14 years,
The ringing of bells, you can now hear.
I’m officially “historic” and a beautiful place.
Now get going, come on, this is a race!

For your third clue,
I’ll make much ado!
There are 9 Germantown Parks,
But I’m at the heart.
In the center I’ll be,
But just for me,
There’s a “trail” to travel,
Unmade of gravel.
Hitch up your “wagon” and come on down.
I’m the 4th biggest park in town!

Today is your next chance to look,
Visit the “Meadow by the Brook.”
And while you’re there,
Grab your pole and bait,
Catch a fish. Won’t it be great?

We welcome you to Medallion Quest!
We’re certain you will pass the test!
To start your journey, lace up your walking shoes…
Hurry! There’s no time to lose!
Up the long gray path – straight to the “top”,
A bubbling faucet that never stops.
Swimsuits, towels, so much fun!
A great place to cool off in the sun!

Another wonderful track season has come to a close. The children had fun, used up some of their energy, and parents cheered them on as they ran, jumped and/or threw. All this would not have been possible without the help of our amazing coaches. Thank you so much to all of you especially to Coach Cynthia and Jeff De Vor for running the program. You all did such an awesome job!!!

While it has been over 130 years since Arbor Day was founded, the simple idea of setting aside a special day for tree planting is now more important than ever. On Friday, May 9th Germantown Kids Klub spent several hours planting trees at Friedenfeld Park. Over 50 participants ages 5-12 took part in the event. The kids spent time planting crab apple & maple trees as well as participating in a forestry class instructed by Park & Recreation Commission Member, Mary Ellen Gray. The Recreation Department and the Kids Klub Program felt that it was important to do their part to help plant trees that will last generations. For additional information on volunteer opportunities you can take part in contact the Recreation Department Office at 250-4710.

If you continue to have issues please contact the office so we can assist you. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
