RIDING FOR ARTHRITIS

Wisconsin Grand Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star will be “on the road again” from Friday, September 28th to Sunday September 30th. The Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sister Laurie Twardy, will be riding on the back of Don Jensen’s Ultra Classic Harley motorcycle and cruising the scenic highways and byways of our beautiful state of Wisconsin on this 830 mile 3 day journey.

They will visit 14 cities throughout the state to collect funds for arthritis research. This joint project is to support the Arthritis Research Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin and the Arthritis Foundation of Wisconsin. It is their goal to educate the public to Learn More and Do More about this inflammatory condition that touches the lives of so many. “An estimated 43 million people in the United States have arthritis or other rheumatic conditions … the leading cause of disability among adults age 65 and older.”

Everyone can participate in this event to show their support. A donation is requested for your participation and for meals provided at each stop. The riders will leave at 8:00 a.m. from 7515 W National Avenue, West Allis. The 1st day of their journey hey will stop in Kenosha, Janesville, Middleton, Reedsburg, Tomah, and Lacrosse. The second day of their ride they will visit Ellsworth, Chippewa Falls, Owen, and Shawano. ON THE last day of their journey they will visit Green Bay, Appleton, Fond du Lac, Brookfield, and West Allis Wisconsin.
